Our Story
Empowered For Excellence is an Ohio based, private, not for profit 501(c)3 behavioral health care organization. As a faith based agency we are committed to delivering a higher quality of life through our client centered values.
We offer a variety of mental health and substance abuse services. Some of our services include: case management, day treatment, intensive outpatient groups, individual therapy, psychiatric services, and sober living. We also offer youth services including, a summer program and school day treatment.
EFEBH’s Recovery Program encompasses body, mind, and spirit, supported by a dedicated and compassionate team. Our staff specializes in dual diagnosis treatment, mental health, addiction services, and cognitive behavioral programming. All behavioral health programs at Empowered for Excellence include diagnostic assessments, individualized service planning, discharge planning, and care coordination with outside providers. While engaged clients would have access to educational resources, employment, housing and re-entry services.
Ultimately, we want to give our clients a strong foundation on which to build their sobriety and reenter the community empowered for excellence.
We provide substance use disorder and mental health treatment. We are licensed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and are nationally accredited by CARF as well as a platinum transparency accreditation with Candid.

The first thing I’d like to say for those who are coming in the DIP Program offered by Empowered for Excellence is to RELAX! The course is not hard, the counselors are really great, the beds are comfortable, and the food is awesome. But remember to bring pants and long shirts because it can get cold. #1 thing – Do not drink before you go!!
Before coming here I was nervous, anxious and convinced it was going to be a nightmare. However, leaving this program I am taking with me some very valuable information which has impacted how I will make further decisions pertaining to drinking. And those choices I make while drinking. This impact was made due to the comfortable, relaxed atmosphere the instructors create and the opportunities to take away the information offered. Believe me, much better than the alternative – JAIL!

I seriously dreaded coming to this program about 2 weeks before coming. To be honest it was nothing that I expected, it was really a great experience and not bad at all. The classes are interesting and the instructor is fun, she keeps the class interesting and fun. So don’t dread coming because it is not as bad as you think.

The DIP provided by Empowered for Excellence was educational and interesting and the atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. Overall, the program was not nearly as bad as I had anticipated.
This class isn’t so bad, just grind through it, it’ll be alright. I thought it was going to be pretty strict but it was laid back and informative.

Life brings about unfortunate events at times, but some can end up being to your benefit. Recognition of the problem leads to a better response/outcome when attempting to overcome or rebuild oneself or regain/recover from unfortunate events that may have arose from bad choices while under the influence.
Own up to your choices, and deal with the consequences when they come. Stay positive, and count your blessings. Be thankful that you're alive and have the choice to change for a positive solution of an outcome.
